Garlands is a suite of large-scale prints and a video piece. These baroque elaborations connect with deeper and enduring aspects of human experience through beauty and continuity. Poet Megan Sexton wrote the following poem in response to the work:

Garlands

These terrestrial stars,

verbing, bursting,

cascading into

declensions

of color -

directives of

red yielding

to prepositions

of pink,

the pluperfect

of silver green,

permutations

of the eye

reading the silent

grammar of

hot country lilies,

assembled,

passed along -

one sentence ends,

another is always

beginning.
